More fallout from the AMD-ATI Merger |
 |
I know I am about the only negative voice in the world regarding this merger. We'll see how right people are over the next 24 months. For now though most of the news if people pay attention is negative.
Not negative for AMD as a company, but negative for what would have been ATi. the graphics company many people liked and appriciated.
ATI loses ground in graphics market after merger
It only takes a little common sense to see where this thing is headed in the future.

Hellbinders Crack Head commentary of the day... |
 |
Believe it or not I have always been one of those Crack Heads who questions the moon landings, especially in 1968. One of my main issues is the total lack of radiation shielding on the moon lander and the suits. It was not till years later that scientific studies basically proved that nearly 2 inches of shielding would be required to meet the bare minimum needed to keep you from frying from solar radiation on the moon.
Well, here is an interesting article at the Register about 3d design services , maya 3d models , sell 3d models.
NASA New Moon Landing Audit
Isn't it Interesting that now its going to cost a ridiculous amount of money to get to the moon (because of all the actual equipment costs to pull it off) compared to the rather paltry budget and equipment that *supposedly* got us there 40 years ago???
Things to make you go Hmmmmm......

To anyone who emailed any of our staff members within the past couple months and did not receive a response - our SMTP server does not appear to be working, so please hang in there! I am also working on a solution to combat the huge amount of spam that has built up in our mailboxes.

NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX unveiled |
 |
This is the first card to be released from the new G70 line of cards. Subsequent releases will include the GeForce 7800GT and the regular GeForce 7800. At this time, the lowest price around is $569, but it's certainly too bad NVIDIA didn't opt for 512 MB of memory with their reference board. To put it short and sweet, this thing is a MONSTER. How does playing Doom 3 at 2048×1536×32 with 4x anti-aliasing at 60 frames per second sound? Yeah, that's right, drool on.
